We were thrilled to be named as the Best Local Restaurant in Wales by the Good Food Guide in 2024. Here at the Inn at the Sticks restaurant in Llansteffan, we believe that good food and good wine matter. We believe Welsh produce should be celebrated.
For us, food should have a sense of place. Of identity. And we also believe it’s best when the table groans with dishes full of good things to share.
We believe in simple things. We believe in a hearty traditional Welsh breakfast to start your day, and we believe in finding the best Welsh produce- most of it from Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire- and treating it with the respect it deserves.
We believe you will taste the difference.
Despite our love affair with Spanish food and drink, our menu isn’t tied to a particular region or style. Our inspiration roves much further, but at heart it always comes back to working with those Welsh ingredients.
You can view our latest menus below, but some things don’t change: ‘From The Sea’ celebrates the wealth of Welsh seafood, from prawns to mackerel and cockles; ‘Land’ is where you’ll find traditional classics like faggots and Welsh beef, and the ‘Garden’ means meat-free choices are plentiful.
With over 70 years of combined experience, our Head Chefs, Deb Neale and Mel Fairman, are always coming up with fresh ideas for our Specials board. You might find freshly baked focaccia, a crisp, layered potato terrine with truffle mayonnaise, locally-caught sea bass served with the uniquely Welsh delicacy, laverbread, or indulge in Atlantic Edge oysters sourced from the Pembrokeshire coast. And we haven’t even mentioned our chefs’ insistence on an indulgent dessert or three, or a wine and beer list full of surprises.
